The Arctic Air Pure Chill Portable AC is simple to use. These swinging through bases aren’t always safe and can become unstable, tipping the unit. The Arctic Air Pure Chill AC will not be compromised.
The models we recommend are designed for cooling rooms of the right size, have useful features, performed well in our tests, and are recommended. A portable air conditioning unit can be a lifesaver when summer hits with a vengeance. A portable air conditioner can cool one room, without the need for ductwork. Some units have a water tray or tank that must be manually emptied. Others have a drain pipe attached to an exterior window. Advanced units can sometimes have self draining systems that return moisture to the air, eliminating the need for drainage.
Think of portable air conditioners as the cooling choice of last resort. They're better than a fan but far less effective than a window AC. Tent air conditioners with higher cooling capacities will be needed for larger tents.
Non-evaporative portable air conditioning units will need to be placed near a window to allow their exhaust hose to blow hot air out. These units come usually with a window adapter that will create a tight opening for your hose. Installation should take no more than 15 to 20%.
Each Arctic Air Pure Chill AC includes a water tank with a capacity to hold 750ml. Before you can use the AC, you must fill this tank with water. The water in this tank is used in humidification and cooling the air. The device includes a 5V USB A to coaxial plug so that you don't need to carry wires around to get the air conditioner to work. The coaxial port can also be found on the back of the unit. In fact, you do not even need a professional to help you maintain your Arctic Air(r) Pure Chill(tm) Portable AC. You only need to clean the device to make sure it works well.
